Little Billy isn't so little any more. His 8th birthday was last Wednesday. The night before...We took a few of his buddies from school to play Lazer Tag. They were VERY loud...but had a lot of fun. Then, on Wednesday night, we had the family over for dinner. Billy requested beer-can chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, caesar salad, and Texas toast. His cake was actually made up of 24 chocolate cupcakes decorated like an alligator.
I have been SOOOO busy!! I don't even know where to start!
Our halloween party was a lot of fun. We had a great turn out and some HISTERICAL costumes. I'm ashamed to say that I never got pictures of the kids in their costumes....but here's one of Dan and me. I wish it was full length cuz Dan has on white knee-socks!!

The actual "tea party" was yesterday. We had record numbers. It was fun...but I'm glad it's over!
Dan bowls on Wednesday nights. He somehow hurt his knee last night. He went to the doctor today and it looks like he's torn the MCL and probably the ACL....which means surgery!! We won't know for sure until they do an MRI which won't be for another week!!!
So...it's been a while since my last post. I'm sorry to say that I don't have any new pictures to share....But thought I'd take a minute to say hello anyway.
The leaves on the trees are in full color. We've had wonderful weather. Most of the corn fields have been cut, giving way to picturesque landscapes of the farms and fields. I know it won't last long....Colder days are just around the corner.
Sydney and Billy have been back to school for a few weeks, now. I'm happy to report that they are both doing GREAT!!! So far, Sydney has all As and Bs!!!! Even a B+ in math!!! Will wonders never cease?!?!?
Then, there's Dani....
She just never stops!!! She is potty training now...and I believe she'll have it licked by the end of the week! She pretty much lives in her dress-up princess dresses these days....and spends much of her time spinning in circles. That is...when she's not beating the tar out of her Daddy. She cracks me up!
We're looking forward to Halloween. We promised the kids a big party. So, that will most likely be the next batch of pictures I post.
Dan and I are doing well. His work is very stressful right now. We're taking a big blow due to the economy....but we'll get through. We're all together and healthy and that's all that matters!!!
So...That's all for now. Love and miss you all! I'll post Halloween pics soon!
So we made another trip to Destin in August. It was HOT!!!
We were lucky to see lots of family.
Mom and Fred came in first and spent the week. Then, my sister Heather, her hubby, Damon, and their 2 monkeys came for several days. Dani and Rylee (almost 4, now) were thick as theives. Little Brody is already 6 months old and sitting up on his own. They're growing so fast!!!
We got to see Dad and Ann a couple of different days. On one day, we met for an afternoon snack of beer and oysters. Somehow, Daddy and I wound up singing karaoke. We havent' sung together in YEARS! It was fun :o)
One of the days, Aunt Cathy and Uncle Al drove down from Dothan, AL...stopping on the way to pick up Granny and Grandpa in DeFuniak. We had a nice visit, as always.
My cousin, Casey was in town with her family. They live in the Middle-East somewhere and were vacationing in the area. We always have fun reminiscing!
The guys went to Port St Joe on a fishing charter.
They caught reef sharks...
Manta Ray...
and Billy caught this Cannon Ball Jellyfish.
Apparently they also had a tarpon on the line, but it got off. The story of the day, though, was Fred falling off of the boat. There are a couple different versions of the story...but we're just glad that his pride was the only thing that got hurt. :o)
Hangin' out by the pool...
Dan and Rylee looked like they were having a SERIOUS discussion???
Brody shows off his new sunglasses.
The Watson bunch!
A day at the beach...
It wasn't the prettiest day at the beach. We had gotten storms the night before. There was a lot of seaweed and the waves were too rough to get in the water. The kids didn't care, though. There was a tidal pool that they were happy to explore and play in.
Rylee jumping waves.
Dani takes a minute to relax.
Two handsome boys!!!
Okay...This was pretty funny. I'm not sure how it all got started...but Rylee and Dani were tracing each other on the patio with sidewalk chalk.
The outlines were NOT human-like :o) But they had so much fun doing it.
Then, they had to trace Pop-Pop
Pop-Pop and Brody
We had lots of lazy mornings. I think that's one of my favorite things. Curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee...watching the kids play...and chatting with family.
Here, Dani and Billy share a snuggle....
Then, Brody and Billy.
Dani and Rylee watching cartoons in bed.
A quick pose for the camera.
Aunt Heather sneaks a hug from Dani....
...but Rylee quickly gets in on the action.
Saying goodbye is never easy. We had a lot of fun.
One last picture before the Watson's head back home. We miss you already!
Mom and Fred stayed a couple more days. We went into Destin on our last day and met up with Daddy and Ann. They were out on their new boat with Kaisey and Braeli (Ann's daughter and grand-daughter). We had lunch on the harbor and watched all of the boats come and go.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back and see everyone again.
We've been to several horse shows this summer...and still have a few more to go. Here are some random pictures from these shows and a few taken at the barn.

Billy wins first place...again!
It always amazes me what kids see. Not sure if Billy or Sydney took this one, but I thought it was funny.
It was a long day in the barn. We were glad to be finished for the night.
This is our little donkey, Pablo. He is very sweet and follows Dani around wherever she goes.
Snickers grazing in the pasture.
This year for the 4th, we spent 3 days at a campground in the RV and then went to the Howard's cabin up north. Tommy (Stephanie's son) and Sydney's friend, Rachel came with us. It was a little crowded at times, but most of the week was spent outside, so it wasn't too bad.
Several families that we know rent cabins too. So there was a big crowd.
The weather that week was absolutely GORGEOUS. We spent almost every day on the lake. One day we went tubing down the Namekagon River. It was amazing! We saw a beaver and a bald eagle.
We did some shopping, some fishing, a lot of eating, and Dennis even had karaoke in the bar one night for all of the kids.

Even Millie couldn't get enough of the water!

Way back in early June.....
Heather, Rylee and Brody flew up for a visit. As always...we had a great time.
We took the kids to a little cafe that specializes in kid-friendly, healthy food. The girls dressed up in princess dresses and they had tea in tiny cups. Quite honestly, the food doesn't taste that great, but the way they prepare it onto the plate is SO CUTE. I can't remember what Rylee ordered....but Dani had a sandwich that looked like 2 snails on her plate. For dessert they had lollipop-cupcakes with sprinkles. When they were finished with their "tea" (it was really apple juice spritzer) they could play. There's a whole wall made of chalkboard and a play kitchen and market-place with a little table.
They had a blast!
In this picture, the girls are showing off their flowers in their hair.
We baked cookies one afternoon while Heather and Brody took a nap. I, now, need to replenish my sprinkles! :o)
Rylee LOVED holding our Guinea pig, Carrots.
