We are up north. We decided to take the new RV on a little road trip. We had to be up north at the cabin for the weekend anyway because Dennis and Kathy are sponsoring their annual Cause for Paws golf outing (a fundraiser for the local humane society). We thought we'd leave a few days early to see what we could find along the way. There' s a campground in Cable, WI...4 1/2 hours north of Madison....30 minutes from Dennis & Kathy's cabin.

So far everything is going well.....No major issues. We pulled into the site around dinner time. We got everything set up and got started on dinner...Only to find out that our little grill was out of gas. Luckily, we had a tri-pod with a grate that we could set up over the fire. The kids roasted weiners on a stick and Dan and I had steaks...they were AWESOME! Billy and Dani both dropped theirs in the dirt...Good thing it was only the first day....So we just put two more on. I'm sure we'll get better at that sort of stuff as we go.

At this campground, there was all kinds of stuff for the kids to do....Mini golf, a pool, a nice playground, ice cream, activities for the kids, volleyball, etc. There is this huge rubber tarp air pillow thing that inflates and the kids jump on it. It was pretty neat! There's also a little general store, bath-houses, fire wood for sale, dump station and LP tank filling station (pretty important stuff for the RV). So, coming from someone who's never even been camping...much less RVing...I was pretty impressed. We had only planned on staying one night, and then going on to a different one the next day...But the kids were having so much fun that we decided to stay last night too.

A bunch of other people came up for the golf outing too....Dennis and Kathy... Brad and Renee and their 3... Justin, Krystal, and Tyler.... and Carlos (friend of Dan and Justin's that lives up here). So they all came over to the campground for dinner and so the kids could swim and play.

Today we are at Dennis and Kathy's cabin hanging out....it's rainy today. So at least the kids can go up to the lodge and goof off since we can't be outside. Tomorrow night is the auction for the Cause for Paws and then Saturday if the golf outing. I'm not golfing...so I hope the weather improves so that the kids and I can enjoy some time on the lake.

That's all for now...Hope you enjoy the pictures!

With all of the horse shows and driving we do...We decided to get an RV. (Brad and Renee bought one last summer...having one makes a HUGE difference!)

Dan searched online for a couple of weeks and finally found one that we liked. Apparently an older couple owned it. The husband became ill and they had to get rid of it. It's a 2004 but is in EXCELLENT condition. No stains or rips anywhere.

The kids love it, of course. We've spent a lot of time in it the last several days. We took it to a horse show last weekend (pictures to follow in a later post). Hopefully, we can get a few more short road trips in before we have to put her in storage.

We spent the morning packing to go home. We tried to spend a couple of hours on the beach...but we got rained out. It was probably for the best. I still had a lot of last minute packing to do. Daddy and Ann would be picking us up later to drive us to the airport. We had a wonderful week in Destin...but we were all ready to come home.

Thursday morning started out quiet...Thank goodness!!! Heather and Mom were packing everything. They would leave later. But first....One more trip to the Outlet Mall :o) Mom was a huge help keeping the little ones wrangled...While Heather and I did as much damage in as little time as possible.

Then it was time for Mom and Heather to go. It's always hard to say good-bye.

Wednesday was AWESOME!!!! We all got up and headed to the beach. It was the most beautiful I've ever seen. The waves were low...there was no seaweed...no jellyfish...and the water was perfect. The kids had a blast!

Tuesday morning Heather and I took advantage of Gamma a little bit :o) We hit the outlet mall for some power shopping.

Then my neice, Katie... her mom, Katherine...and little brothers, Steven and Zach came for a visit. They spent the afternoon at the pool. It was great to see them.

Later that day, my God-sister, Dede...and her 3 girls, Krista, Jessica, and Hanna came to spend the night.

Dani spent A LOT of time walking around the house with all of our cell phones...apparently "talking to Daddy".

Day 4...Monday...We packed a picnic and went to Jolee Island to hunt for crabs and shells. At first, the kids were nervous about wading in the murky water...but it was so hot, that eventually we were all in the water keeping cool. We found a few blue crabs, but not much else.

Then later that afternoon, my cousin, Jason, his wife, Heather, and her 12-yr daughter, Ariel came for a visit from Pensacola. We went to the Baytowne Village for dinner, and a magic show. We all had a nice time.

Sunday...Day 3...We spent the day at the pool. It was perfect. Then Daddy and Ann popped in with a bucket of the biggest and yummiest hot boiled peanuts I think I've ever had. Thanks, MiMi!! They also brought their granddaughter, Braeli to swim.

Saturday...Day 2 of our Florida trip....Daddy and Ann stopped by for a visit before we headed to DeFuniak. The plan was to go to Granny and Grandpa Ritz's in the afternoon. We picked up lunch and brought it in so that Granny wouldn't have to fuss. As the tradition goes...the little ones settled around to coffee table to eat. Aunt Cathy and Uncle Al came down from Dothan....and long-time family friends...the White's...surprised us all by showing up too. Eric's home-made ice cream was a special treat.

So the kids and I are in Florida. We flew down last Friday for the week to see family and friends. When we arrived in Ft Walton Beach, Dan surprised us with a limo ride to the beach house. The kids thought it was SO COOL! They had root beer in champagne glasses and pretended to be movie stars. It was priceless!

So, you thought I was kidding when I named our blog "Three-Ring Circus"??? Well...Here's Dani showing off her horse routine. :o)

The Little League Baseball season is officially over! Hallelujah! Billy played coach-pitch baseball this summer....every Tuesday and Thursday night! We couldn't miss any of the games because Dan was the coach. We learned THAT lesson the hard way :o) Billy was quite the little star of the team, though. He has a heck of a swing, runs like lightning, and even caught two line-drives in two different games. We're glad this season is over, but I'm sure we'll on the field again next summer!

Big news...
Last Sunday, while we were at the horse show in Minnesota, Billy lost his first tooth! Anyone who know me...knows that I had NOTHING to do with it! At one point I recall Dan and Billy discussing it...but I wasn't paying much attention. Then all of a sudden, Billy was standing in front of me and said, "Look, Mom!" I looked up at him and there it was...or I should say...wasn't.
